medellín, colombia · updated 2026-08

i'm brandon. i build small software businesses, by myself.

a portfolio of consumer saas doing $50k mrr, run from medellín with no team, no co-founder, no investors. fifteen months ago the whole thing made $50 a month. now i'm on my way to $100k mrr, in public — and designing a life around it instead of the other way around.

follow me to figure it out.

the portfolio

what i'm building

i keep the products anonymous on purpose — the business is the interesting part, not the brand. category, stage, and a revenue band is what you get.

the playbook

how i run it

the rules that let one person run a portfolio without it running him. lifestyle design is just these, applied.

  1. 01

    one stack, every time

next.js, postgres, stripe, vercel. the next product starts on day one because there's nothing to decide.

  2. 02

seo + paid. that's the channel list.

long-tail seo for the compounding, meta ads for the speed. nothing else gets attention until those two are maxed out.

  3. 03

ugly and shipped beats polished and pending

the flagship crossed $20k mrr on two low-quality static image ads. the bottleneck was never budget, it was how fast i could make the next one.

  4. 04

wrap data a model can't reproduce

every product that works sits on top of something a general model can't fake. if it can, it's not a business, it's a prompt.

  5. 05

    margin is the metric

70% after ads and ai cost. i track profit per run the way i used to track latency.

  6. 06

    the morning comes first

journal, an hour of meditation, lift, run, sauna — then the phone. that's the operating system the business runs on, not a wellness routine.

the journey

how it went

dates and numbers, no narrative arc. the last one hasn't happened yet.

  1. jun 2018

    six years of infrastructure

streaming and ml systems at discord, airbnb, and workday. petabyte scale. somebody else's company.

  2. mar 2024

    left big tech

walked away from the job and the equity that came with it to build consumer software alone.

  3. jan 2025

    the company that never shipped

a c-corp, a co-founder, 'investors soon'. legal documents for something that never made a dollar. nobody posts this part.

  4. may 2025

    $50 a month

lost most of my net worth, a relationship ended, and the product made about fifty bucks. the low.

  5. oct 2025

    preparing for the worst

doubting everything, still losing money every month.

  6. feb 2026

    $10k mrr

first profitable month — $2,000. same product. solo.

  7. aug 2026

    $50k mrr

a portfolio now, not one product. 70% margins. still one person.

  8. target · dec 2027

    $100k mrr

the bet. in public, with the dashboards on screen, and a real chance of missing it.

in public

what i post

three lanes. same guy.

  • the build

stripe, the ad account, and search console on screen. what's working this week and what it cost.

  • the weight

the part nobody films — the month the revenue hit a record and i felt nothing. no bow on it.

  • the system

the hour before the phone, the lifting, the running, medellín, spanish. the method that runs the machine.

the weekly numbers

one email a week. what moved, what it cost.
